EAST PRAIRIE -- Lindel Boyd Morris Sr., 72, died March 5, 2007, at Gulfport, Miss.
Born Jan. 11, 1935, in New Madrid County, son of the late Ira Boyd and Mary Jannetta Morgan Morris, he lived most of his life in Mississippi County. He was a truck driver with Farm Products Co. since 1969 and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include: two sons, Lindel Boyd Morris Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Anthony Lee "Tony" Morris of Dothan, Ala.; two daughters, Tammy Morris Robison of Sikeston and Jennifer Morris Thomure of East Prairie; one brother, Charles Morris of Dexter; three sisters, Rosemary Irby of East Prairie, Loretta Williams of Milwaukee and Janet Brown of Sikeston; and seven grandchildren, Clinton Morris, Lydia Thomure and Autumn Thomure of East Prairie, Nicole Morris Wilson of Lawton, Okla., Casey Robison of Sikeston and Alicia Morris and Morgan Morris of Cape Girardeau; and one great-grandchild, Riley Wilson of Lawton.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. Mike Worrell will officiate.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Jackson, Robert Jackson, John Goodin, Shirley Bard, Bob Thurmond, Gary Davis, Joe Greer, Richard Walters and Danny Childers.
