POPLAR BLUFF - It was a war between size and speed, and size won. On Wednesday night, at the 1997 MSHSAA Class 3A Sectional Tournament in Poplar Bluff. Perryville defeated Charleston, 64-61.
SIKESTON - The annual report for the Sikeston Office of the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole was recently released for 1996. According to District Administrator Martin E. Lingle, the local office is responsible for the three-
county area of Scott, New Madrid and Mississippi. In these counties, there are 1,117 individuals under active supervision at his time, which include 947 probationers and 170 classified as parolees, who are under the supervision of 16 probation and parole officers. Officers in the Sikeston district office have completed 618 investigations.
