O'FALLON -- Billy Don Scott, 76, formerly of East Prairie, died at 3 p.m. Jan. 15, 2008, at the Barnes St. Peters Hospital.
Born Aug. 3, 1931, in Russellville, Ark., to the late Bleve and Ruth Morphis Scott, he lived in East Prairie most of his life, where he owned and operated Scott's Heating and Cooling for several years. He lived in O'Fallon for the past nine years.
On April 4, 1952, he married Viola Muir, who died on Sept. 2, 1978.
Also preceding him in death were: one sister, Carletta Dunham; and one brother, Amos Scott.
Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Gail Scott of St. Charles and Carletta and Ron Amos of O'Fallon; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Carla Scott and Clay Scott of St. Peters; two sisters, Jeanette Holt and Bobbye Chambers of Charleston; one brother, Troy Scott of Charleston; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. Martin Lucas will officiate.
Burial, with full military rites provided by the Missouri Funeral Honors Program, will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
