DEXTER - Neoma Faries, 87, died Nov. 1, 2006, at the Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett.
Born May 1, 1919, in Holcomb, daughter of the late Tom and Fern F. Vails Kinsey, she had lived in the Canalou and Morehouse communities from 1964 to 1996. She moved to Bloomfield in 1996, then to Dexter in 2001. She was a homemaker and attended the Canalou Assembly of God Church.
On Dec. 20, 1934, at Risco, she married David M. Faries who preceded her in death on March 28, 1997.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Joyce Inett Faries; three brothers, Howard Kinsey, James Kinsey and Johnny Kinsey; and one sister, Dorothy Turman.
Survivors include: three daughters, Lou Jones of Kevil, Ky., Barbara Ann Moses of Catron and Linda Diane Cagle of Dexter; one sister, Frances Matlock of Cahokia, Ill.; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Michael Cartwright of Matthews will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
