HOWARDVILLE -- Roy Jackson, 77, died March 13, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid.
Born Nov. 11, 1929, at McNeil, Ark., to the late Roosevelt and Betty Handy Jackson, he had worked for Peabody Oil Co. and later for Portageville and Mounds Park Cemetery.
On Oct. 26, 2000, he married Viola Jackson who survives of the home.
Survivors include: one son, Terry Jackson of Tulip, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Freddie Mae Davis of St. Louis; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin and Mary Etta Jackson and John and Leola Burton of the state of Missouri; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertie L. and Oliver Rich, Betty R. and Jimmie Poole and Catherine and Melvin Johnson of the state of Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Coy Lee Jackson and Troy Jackson; and two sisters, Queen E. Davis and Elisa Hardin.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at the Friendship Church of Christ in Howardville. Marvel Cranford will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Mason Cemetery.
