PHOENIX -- Mary Jane McDermott Eggers, 67, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died at 5:45 p.m. March 10, 2007, at her home.
Born Oct. 24, 1939, in the Gravel Ridge community in Mississippi County, Mo., daughter of the late Bousey H. and Louella Byrd McDermott, she had lived in Charleston and then in DeSoto prior to moving to Phoenix in 2001. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, James A. and JoAnn Eggers Sr. of Phoenix; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Stella McDermott and Gary and Wanda McDermott of Charleston; three sisters and two brothers-in-
law, Jo Ann and Charles Shands of Charleston, Frances Barborek of Sikeston, Mo., and Virginia and Jess Riles of Hillsboro, Mo.; and two grandsons.
Preceding her in death were one son, John Berry Eggers; one daughter, Wilma Janes Eggers; three brothers, Vernon McDermott, Herman McDermott and Donnie McDermott; and one sister, Lavern Hammers.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until time for services at 1 p.m. Friday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Eggers, Adam Eggers, Calvis Wright, Eddie Grooms, Doyle Price and Todd Price.
