SIKESTON - Helen C. Hensley, 81, died at 3 p.m. May 31, 2007, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Oct. 8, 1925, in Morehouse, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Bessie Mae Siemer Crosno. A lifelong resident of Sikeston, she had been a bookkeeper and receptionist for Home Oil Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Kings Daughter Sunday School Class and a former member of Beta Sigma Phi.
On April 19, 1946, at Sikeston, she married George Hensley Jr. who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1979.
Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Mary Sue Crosno, Juanita Voss and Wanda Dillon.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, George R. and Helen F. Hensley of Sikeston; one daughter, Barbara Hensley of Sikeston; one sister, Doris Ruth Laughlin of St. Charles; and two grandchildren, Ellie Hensley of Columbia and Russell Hensley of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. David Jackson, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Russell Hensley, Jake Pratcher, Dylan Tangen, Nik Ward, Jon Helm and Wyatt Balcer.
