DEXTER -- Lawrence George Vieth, 88, died May 30, 2007, at Southern Missouri Healthcare in Dexter.
Born Nov. 5, 1918, in Hamburg, Ark., he was the son of the late George William and Lydia Moser Vieth.
He first married Vernice Sielert Vieth who preceded him in death.
He later married Geneva Acord Vieth who survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Don Vieth of Farmington, Rick Vieth of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Troy Vieth of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Willie Earl Vieth of Bernie and Floyd E. Vieth of Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Elsie Vieth Walker of Branson; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Barry Allen Vieth, on May 30, 1950; one sister, Ethel Vieth Dawson; and one brother, Adrian Leroy Vieth.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Ed Stoner will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
