Gary Mainord

NEW MADRID -- Gary Wayne Mainord, 55, died Aug. 16, 2007, at his home.

Born June 3, 1952, in Sikeston, to Jimmie Lee and Bernice Bledsoe Mainord of Lilbourn, he was a member of the American Legion Post 595 and Eagles Aerie 4206. A 1971 graduate of Lilbourn High School, he was a farmer and lived his entire life in New Madrid County.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Chrisi and James Hodges of New Madrid and Katy and Donald Hart Jr. of Matthews; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie "Duke" and Shelly Mainord of Lilbourn; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim and J.R. Eubank of Bernie; and six grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with the Rev. Kevin Mills officiating.

Burial will follow in Matthews City Cemetery in New Madrid.

Pallbearers will be: James Hodges, Donald Hart, Heath Mainord, Kenny Joe Schaffer, Sam Barnett and Tommy Chism.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Euband, Dale Haynes, J.R. Eubank and Don Harrington.
