NEW MADRID - Amy and Marcus McElveen are the parents of their second child, first daughter, born at 7:12 p.m. Jan. 18, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Laine Kimbrell McElveen weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 18 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Judy Riley and Betty Streeter of Lilbourn.

Paternal grandparents are Minnie McElveen and Bill McElveen of Booneville, Ark.

CHARLESTON - Tiffany Clemons and Vernon Haynes are the parents of their second child, second daughter, born at 3:42 p.m. Jan. 18, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Ver'Nyia Terrshaye Haynes weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 18.25 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Dorothy Sinks and Willie Clemons.

Paternal grandparents are Vernon Evans and Beverly Haynes.
