DEXTER - Wanda Lee Parks, 83, died March 14, 2007, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born Sept. 1, 1923, in Dexter, to the late Roy and Ethel Wright Hyslop, she had lived in the Dexter area all her life and was of the Baptist belief.
On July 4, 1942, she married Eugene Ernest Parks who preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2005.
Also preceding her in death were: one daughter, Lisa Coleman; four brothers, Jim Hyslop, Robert Hyslop and Arthur Hyslop and one in infancy; and four sisters, Vivian Nichols, Mary Curd and Edna Harper and one in infancy.
Survivors include: one son, Dale Parks of Dexter; two daughters, Kathy Holt of Nampa, Idaho, and Jeanie Lantz of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Paul Hyslop of Dexter and Charles Hyslop of Birchtree; three sisters, Betty Summers of Dexter, Florence Bright of Jackson and Bonnie Brown of St. Louis; and eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled. Burial will be conducted at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
