SIKESTON -- Michael "Flipper Cool" Gipson, 52, died April 12, 2007, at the home of his sister.
Born Dec. 2, 1954, in Sikeston, the son of Julia Renfro of Sikeston and the late Sylvester Williams, he was a member of West End Baptist Church of Sikeston.
Survivors include: two sons, Xavier Hunt of Midwest City, Okla., and Michael Julian Gipson of Sikeston; one daughter, Epiphany Hunt of Midwest City; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Everett and Betty Nixon of St. Louis, Arthur Renfro of Sikeston and Oblenus and Flora Gipson of Benton Harbor, Mich.; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Syletta and the Rev. L.L. Williams and Everlean Gipson Brown of Sikeston, Earnestine Wheeler of Elkhart, Ind., Bessie Renfro King of Chicago and Arlena Johnson of Benton Harbor; and a special friend, Roseanna Sands.
Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the West End Baptist Church. The Rev. L.L. Williams will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
