PUXICO -- Investigators believe a fire that destroyed a large storage building at Holloway Distributing Monday after- noon was accidental.
State, federal and local fire investigators were at Holloway Distributing in Puxico this morn- ing. They believe Monday's fire began after employees stacked combustible paper products too close to a light fixture.
A passerby called 911 at 1:41 p.m. Monday to report smoke billowing from a 60 by 100 ft. storage building, said Poplar Bluff fire investigator Gary Pride. Pride was asked to assist fire investigators from the state and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
The first fire truck to arrive found the building fully en- gulfed, said Puxico Fire Chief Steve Scott.
