BENTON -- Richard Lee Perryman, 70, died at 11:07 p.m. Aug. 1, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 17, 1935, in Nacona, Texas, son of the late Raymond Burk and Ireta Margarit Crawford Perryman, he had been a route salesman with Tom's and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War. He belonged to the Eagles Club in Cape Girardeau and the Jackson Elks.
On Oct. 19, 1968, he married Helen Juanita Tinsley, who preceded him in death on May 15, 1992.
One brother also preceded him in death.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Elena Perryman Jr. of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Nancy Jo Mullins of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; a special partner, Dorothy Welker of Benton; two brothers, Don Perryman and Ron Perryman; one sister, Janie Goostree; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Stan Hargis will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
