EAST PRAIRIE -- Amanda Louise Hale and Brian Michael Ray were united in marriage during a 5 p.m. ceremony June 24, 2006, at the First Baptist church in East Prairie. The Rev. George White performed the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Randy and Janice Hale of Sikeston, and the bridegroom is the son of Mike and Denise Ray of East Prairie.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Mori Lee fitted strapless gown with an embellished waistline with Swarovoski crystals and beads. The A-line skirt was softly racked with pick-ups accented with crystals and pearls. The skirt fell into a chapel train.
Michelle Brown of Sikeston served the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tiffany O'Neal of Sikeston and Leah McDonald of Anna, Ill.
Cousins of the bridegroom, Mikala Liley, daughter of Jason and Katie Liley of Jackson, and Abby Gates, daughter of Neil and Amy Gates of Sikeston, were flower girls.
Serving as best man was Flynn Ray of East Prairie, and groomsmen were Kris Eastwood of Sikeston and Jason Brown of East Prairie.
Noah Ray, son of Kelly and Dana Ray of Cape Girardeau and cousin of the bridegroom, served as ringbearer.
Candlelighters and ushers were Marshall McTigue and Chris Miller of East Prairie.
A reception followed at the VFW in Sikeston, where the meal was catered by Kerns Grocery of New Hamburg and Sound Explosion of Gideon provided music.
Following a honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the new Mr. and Mrs. Ray are making their home in East Prairie.
