CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Alvin Griswell, 92, died at 2:55 a.m. April 6, 2007, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 16, 1914, in Dyersburg, Tenn., to the late Archie and Sarah Patterson Griswell, he was a farmer.
On Dec. 5 1932, he married Ocie Smith who preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 1998.
One son, two daughters, two brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry Griswell of Salem and Lonnie Griswell of Missouri City, Texas; four daughters, Faye Marie McAlister and Sylvia Hager of Cape Girardeau, Joy Griswell of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Nancy Reynolds of Newborn, Tenn.; and 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 20 great-
great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Monday at Amick-
Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee with Mark Ramsey officiating.
Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
