SIKESTON -- Shirley Joann McEntire, 68, formerly of Charleston, died at 12:01 a.m. Feb. 2, 2007, at her home.
Born Feb. 2, 1938, at Charleston, daughter of the late Luther Jackson and Ruby Mae Pointer Peevyhouse, she lived most of her life in Charleston and attended the First Baptist Church. She later lived for 10 years in Cairo, Ill., before moving to Sikeston.
Survivors include: two sons, Wesley Johnson of Pear, Del., and Jeffery McEntire of Kansas City; two daughters, Cathy Bruce and Christy Richards of Sikeston; and nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale McEntire; three infant brothers; two infant sisters; two sisters, Veda Mae Graham and Barbara Jean Meeks; and one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Joe Salmon, Eric Morgan, Brandon Hale, Tyler Neal, Gene Rodgers, Bill Morgan and Kenny Patterson.
