Barbara Seifried

EAST PRAIRIE - Barbara Ann Parker Seifried, 67, died at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 11, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 24, 1939, at Barnes Ridge, to the late Charles and Hazel Clark Parker Roach, she had lived in East Prairie most of her life and was a 1957 graduate of East Prairie High School. In 1969, she became a licensed practical nurse, going to work for Dr. Henry Rzonca in 1970, until his office closed in 1983. She was then employed with the East Prairie Nursing Center and the Sells Nursing Home and later as a private duty nurse with the VNA of Southeast Missouri until her retirement in 1997.

Survivors include: one son, Sean Seifried of Las Vegas; two daughters and sons-

in-law, April and Homer Bratton and Angie and Mike Lindsey of East Prairie; one sister and brother-in-law, Celia and Bob Lawrence of Louisville, Ky.; three granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Kirstin Bratton, Caitlin Lindsey and Claire and Jason Grisham of East Prairie. Also a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins survive.

Two brothers, Clifton Roach and Charles "Red" Parker, preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery, near East Prairie.
