Miner business robbed; three men arrested

MINER -- Three men were arrested for robbing a gas station this morning east of the Interstate 55 viaduct in Miner.

The Minor Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at 12:54 a.m. at Break Time located at 2823 East Malone, according to Capt. Rhonda Elder.

A man with a ski mask and a gun reportedly entered and demanded money from the register. After taking an undetermined amount of money, the suspect left the scene on foot and then got into a vehicle, according to Miner police.

"After a short investigation by officers, three men were arrested," Elder said.

Names are being withheld pending the filing of formal charges in Scott County.
