Linda Ramsey

SIKESTON -- Linda Sue Ramsey, 63, died Jan. 4, 2007, at her home in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 8, 1943, near Bertrand, daughter of the late Jim and Carrie Carlyle Western, she was a housewife and had previously worked at the McMullin Mini Mart north of Sikeston. She was a 1961 graduate of Sikeston High School.

On June. 13, 1961, in Bertrand, she married James E. Ramsey, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Rick Ramsey of Morehouse and Mike Ramsey of Sikeston; two brothers, Jimmy Western and Carl Gene Western, both of Bertrand; three sisters, Alma Smith of Morehouse, Mable Holmes of Sikeston and Burma Baker of Jackson; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday . The Rev. Brian Blankenship, pastor of the Eastside Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Pallbearers will be: Dave Hart, David Holmes, Scott Henderson, Shawn Henderson, David Western and Steve Bohnert.
