Madge Brandenburg

PORTAGEVILLE - Mary "Madge" Brandenburg, 88, died April 4, 2006, at Beverly Health Care in New Madrid.

Born March 25, 1918, in Parma, she was the daughter of the late Gabe and Ethel Mae Copeland.

In 1933, she was united in marriage to Thomas Brandenburg, who preceded her in death in 1976.

Two brothers, Donald Copeland and Kelly Copeland; two sisters, Ruby Taylor and Helen Brock; three daughters, Wilma Joy and Winfred Gale Brandenburg and Ruth Ellen Davison; one son, Thomas Brandenburg Jr.; and eight grandchildren also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: eight sons, Raymond Lloyd Brandenburg and Cletus Charlie Brandenburg of Portageville, Louie Clinton Brandenburg of Pt. Pleasant, Thomas Eugene Brandenburg of Finley, Tenn., Calvin Earl Brandenburg of Cooter, Aubrey Alton Brandenburg of Marston, James Ricky Brandenburg of Blytheville, Ark and Clifford Brandenburg of Portageville; three daughters, Glenda Faye Baker of Poplar Bluff, Reva Carol Mays of St. Louis and Joyce Lean Wibbenmeyer of St. Charles; 32 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. The Rev. Lawrence Gibbons officiated.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Dale Wibbenmeyer, Ricky Brandenburg, Charles Brandenburg, Joey Brandenburg, Robert Mays, Eddie Mays and Allen Mays.
