MALDEN - Verna Edna Crowder, 79, died Jan. 10, 2007, at Malden Nursing and Rehab.
Born Oct. 6, 1927, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., to the late David and Armelia Cantrell Collier, she was a member of Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden.
On Nov. 13 1943, at Kennett, she married Chester Cline Crowder, who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2004.
Two brothers, Leonard Collier and J.D. Collier; and two sisters, Grace Parson and Dessie Nix, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Tammie and Joe Golladay and Jerella and Tommy Franklin of Malden and Chloette and Larry Landers of Risco; one brother, Morris Collier of Paragould, Ark.; two sisters, Reba Nix of Malden and Lela Riggens and Frost Proof, Fla.; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held today at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden. The Revs. Larry Keith Landers and Richard Blagg officiated.
Burial followed in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
