ORAN -- The Oran Lady Eagles advanced to the Class 1, District 1 final with a 64-21 romp over the Risco Lady Tigers on Tuesday.
Oran, clearly superior in every area over the five-man Risco roster with four freshmen, opened the game with a 29-2 first-quarter lead.
Callie Kielhofner, the leading scorer with 20 points, paced the Eagles with 14 in the period, including two 3-pointers.
The lead ballooned to 47-9 at the half, with Erica Michelsen leading the way with eight of her 15 total in the second quarter. Tiffany Glastetter, the Eagles' senior post, finished with 16 points.
Oran reserves began filtering into the game as early as the start of the second quarter.
The Eagles, with primarily substitutes in the lineup, outscored the Tigers 17-12 in the second half, with the mercy clock in the fourth quarter.
Chelsea Carlisle and Brittany Burnett shared scoring honors for the Tigers with nine points each.
Oran, the second seed in the three-team district, faces top seed Scott County Central on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
