SIKESTON - Al's Reefer Service, located at 1030 County Line Road just off Highway 60, opened today, according to Al Priest of Cape Girardeau, owner. The business offers truck and trailer refrigeration, sales and service and is a carrier Transicold dealer. The 90-by-80-foot building houses three truck bays and is a larger extension of the Rhodes City Truck Plaza operation in Cape Girardeau, which has been in operation for 12 years.

SCOTT CITY - The executive director for the Southeast Missouri Port Authority said Monday that an agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers has been signed. In the $10 million project, the board approved a cooperation contract with the Corps in an executive session Monday.

SIKESTON - A seminar at the Missouri Delta Medical Center will focus on things church leaders can do to make their buildings a more difficult target for arsonists. It is sponsored by the International Association of Arson Investigators in St. Louis, the Missouri Division of Fire Safety, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the Cape Girardeau office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

SIKESTON - Stephanie Nichols portrayed Queen Bella in the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs held Saturday at the Sikeston Field House.
