MARSTON -- Allen "Leon" Hampton, 62, died Dec. 10, 2006, at his home.
Born Dec. 15, 2943, in Conran, son of the late John D. and Audra Froman Hampton, he was an alderman in Marston.
On Aug. 9, 1990, in Portageville, he married Dickie Jean Wages who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: six sons, Don Allen Tinnin and Clark Hampton of Sikeston, Robert Fowler of Risco, Chris Hampton of New Madrid and Shane Alan Hampton and Allen Dustin Hampton of Marston; six daughters and one son-in-law, Kimberly Lynne and Eric Pardon of Portageville, Trisha Ann Brody, Donna Kay Hampton and Tracy Lynn Hampton of Fulton, Tammy Marie Madden of Finley, Tenn., and Brenda McCormick of Sikeston; two brothers, Charles Hampton of the state of Indiana and Billy Joe Hampton of Doniphan; two sisters, Margie Vent and Margaret Poncsak of Bryan, Ohio; and 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, four brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Frank Townsend will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Eric Pardon, Tommy Jeffords, Phillip Silman, Dickie Deloach, Gary Cook Jr. and Kenneth Smith.
