Charlie Simpkins

EAST PRAIRIE -- Charlie Simpkins, 62, died May 11, 2007, at his sister's home in East Prairie.

Born June 10, 1944, in Wolf Island, he was the son of the late George and Hattie Cross Simpkins.

Survivors include: three brothers and one sister-in-law, Larry and Peggy Simpkins of Charleston, Thomas Simpkins of Hesperie, Calif., and Sylvester Simpkins of East Prairie; and two sisters, Clarise Simpkins and Carailla Paterson of East Prairie.

In addition to his parents, four brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston with the Rev. Melvin Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
