Speakout 12/11

Monday, December 11, 2006

This is to whoever took the babe out of the manger on Missouri Street. Had you asked me for it, I would have given it to you. The fact that you took it hurts, but the fact of what it represents hurts more. That was to represent 2000 years ago our Savior was born. So whoever you are, God bless you.

This is to the person who called in and said Wal-Mart would not be closing their entire fabric department, but they would be selling fabric in one-yard increments. It's really hard to sew an item, such as a dress, with one-yard increments. We still need to complain to Wal-Mart. Be sure to pick up your forms, fill them out and send them in. I often buy several yards at one time. Rarely do I buy one yard at a time.

Notre Dame will come to Sikeston and participate in the Semo Conference tournament if it's alright with Chris Moore.

I am sick of reading the Standard-Democrat but I can't stop. I am poor what should I do? Will you pay for the rehab?

Continued reading is the best therapy.

Mr. Jensen I am just calling to say thank you for your help for everything you are doing for us state schools. You are a very stand-up gentleman and we just want to say thank you.

I believe the draft should be started back. We have no jobs over here. The kids get out of school, they get in trouble. If they could go to the military by draft, there wouldn't be much trouble here and we'd be a lot better off. There would be more jobs.

This is to a lot of citizens of Sikeston who listen to every little rumor that goes around. Why don't you just look, go straight to the source? See if it's true before you start calling SpeakOut and complaining about this, or saying, "Oh, so and so is doing this." I just can't believe that people call SpeakOut and don't have the nerve to leave their names on their comments. It's just amazing. No wonder nobody wants to live in this town. Thank you.

Hello. Well the Democrats are in so I guess we'll give up like we did Korea and Vietnam and run. Haven't won a war since World War II.
