DEXTER -- Arvel F. Williamson, 95, died Dec. 12, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield.
Born March 29, 1912, at Zadock, son of the late Oscar Franklin Williamson and Ollie Pry Williamson Hobbs, he was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist belief.
On May 12, 1935, in Bloomfield, he married Francis Fay Rankin who preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1996.
Also preceding him in death were: one son, Arvel Lonell Williamson; four brothers, Kenneth Williamson, Herman Williamson, Weldon Williamson and Marvin Williamson; and five sisters, Lucille Spangler, Edith Scism, Oma Matthews, Louise Neal and Emma Williamson.
Survivors include: one son, Jerry Elmer Williamson of Dongola, Ill.; four daughters, Betty Ivester of Scott City, Emma Nell Kimbrel of Bloomfield and Dorothy Dawes and Janus Kling of Goreville, Ill.; and 20 grandchildren, 36 great-
grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. Saturday until time of services at 2 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Jerry Williamson Jr. will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield.
