DEXTER -- Nelson Otis Kitchen, 92, died March 16, 2007, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 1, 1914, in Bernie, son of the late Lewis Oliver and Olive Ellen Christian Kitchen, he had resided around the Puxico and Dexter area all his life. A retired truck driver, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Dexter.
On April 18, 1936, in Puxico, he married Mabel Ilene Buchanan who preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 1994.
Also preceding him in death were one son, Leroy Kitchen; and two sisters, Mildred Marie Powell and Cassie May Wilson.
Survivors include: one daughter, Anita Louise Peters of Dexter; one brother-in-
law, Norman Buchanan of Paragould; two grandchildren, Renae Peters Maus and Sabrina Nicole Peters; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
A private graveside funeral service for family members only will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with the Rev. Pat Smith of Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow.
