Born June 4, 1931, in Beech Bluff, Tenn., daughter of the late William and Ophelia Johnson Armstrong, she lived most of her life in New Madrid County and was a member of Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church.
On Nov. 21, 1950, she married John D. Jackson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joe Lynn Jackson of Matthews and John Daniel and Marcia Jackson Jr. of East Prairie; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen Gail and Neil Book of Rolla; one brother and sister-in-
law, Thomas "Bud" and Bonnie Armstrong of Matthews; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ruth and Hugh Dickinson of Bardwell, Ky., Nancy Keene of Wisner, La., Judy Carden of Wetumpka, Ala., and Joyce and Clyde Boyles of Festus; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One son, Danny Lee Jackson; and one brother, Billy Eugene Armstrong, preceded her in death.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Tom McCanless will officiate. Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Richie Dickinson, Michael Armstrong, Wade Carden, Chris Jackson, Daniel Jackson, Alex Book and Doug Hackney.
