SIKESTON - Harriet Hill, 91, died Feb. 14, 2008, at Sikeston Health Care.
Born Sept. 17, 1916, in Tupelo, Miss., to the late William and Annie Ruff McKeller, she had lived in southeast Missouri since 1923, and was a longtime member of the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church near Essex.
On May 31, 1936, near Parma, she married William Hill, who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1995.
Also preceding her in death were: five sons, William Hill, John Hill, Marvin Hill, Kevin Hill and James Hill; one daughter, Marydell Burks; three brothers, William McKeller, Martin McKeller and Henry McKeller; and five sisters, Essie McKeller, Ethel McKeller, Mozell Shaw, Elsie Cole and Ilene Halloway.
Survivors include: five sons, Ernest Hill of Marion, Ind., Charles Edward Hill of New Madrid, Ben Hill of Chicago, Donnie Wayne Hill of Sikeston and Chester Earl Hill of Essex; five daughters, Betty Gay of Bernie, Willie Lee Baily of Malden, Mabel Jacob and Annie Thompson of Essex and Mildred Hill of Sikeston; one sister, Mary Johnson of Poplar Bluff; and 76 grandchildren and many great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. James Turf of the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Essex will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
