Bootheel man is found alive in Tennessee

CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Carutherville man missing since May 15 has been found alive and well, law enforcement officials said today.

Juan Terrell Walton left the Caruthersville area to take a friend to Jackson, Tenn., for a doctor's visit and never returned to Missouri, according to information from Jackson (Tenn.) Police Department provided to the Caruthersville Police Department. Walton was located in Jackson and has been reunited with his family and "was alive and doing fine."

Caruthersville Police Department news release said Walton has been taken out of National Crime Information Center as a missing person. The department and Walton's family also said they are grateful to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office, the Jackson Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies or people who helped in trying to find Walton.
