SIKESTON - Phillip M. "Bud" Evans, 67, died at 7:42 p.m., Dec. 1, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 29, 1939, in Sikeston, to the late Spirling S. and Eva Marie Harden Evans, he served in the U.S. Navy and had attended Bethel Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church. He had worked for Seven-Up Bottling Co. in Sikeston, at Anchor Toy Factory as a supervisor in the shipping department, at Reiss Dairy and at Cecil Holman Construction Co.
Survivors include: two sons, Phillip Wayne Evans of Moberly and Bryan Lee Evans of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Barbara J. Moore and Joann Brown of Sikeston and Kay Morton of Kewanee; and four grandsons.
One daughter, Twila Jo Evans; one brother, James Larry Evans; and one sister, Peggy Sue Praul, preceded him in death.
No visitation is planned. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley. The Rev. Mike Quillman, pastor of the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Malden, will officiate.
