SIKESTON -- Louie Glenn Goetz, 68, left for his heavenly home from Missouri Delta Medical Center on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007.
Born June 26, 1938, at Blodgett, to the late Francis F. and Theta Pry Goetz, he worked for Inman Freight Lines for 16 years and owned and operated Shaklee Enterprises for 30 years. He was a faithful servant and member of Church on the Rock in Sikeston.
On Aug. 3, 1957, in Hernando, Miss., he married Mary Delois Graham who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Kristi Goetz of Sikeston and Myron Goetz and Deanna Walden of Crestview, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Curtis True of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren, Corey and Nicole Goetz of Memphis, Tenn., Eric Goetz of Paducah, Ky., Riley and Josie Stark of Sikeston, Heather and Joe Givens of Sikeston, Holly True of Sikeston, Tyler and Samantha Walden of Crestview, and Selena Sauceda of Sikeston; and one great-granddaughter, Macy Givens of Sikeston. Also surviving are one brother, Terry Goetz of McDonough, Ga. and two sisters, Patricia Stroup of LaPlace, La. and Glenda Woods of Jeffersonville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Francis, John and Jerry Goetz.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church on the Rock, Hwy. 60 West in Sikeston, with the Rev. Curtis True officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
