Some of the elements are: coding and billing and implementing and maintaining a compliance program. Some of the laws are: Medicare Modernization Act, OSHA, CLIA, NCQA Guidelines, Gainsharing, Anti-Kickback Statue, Safe Harbors, Stark I & II, False Claims Act, Balance Budget Act, HIPPA, Corporate Integrity Agreements and others.

SIKESTON - Two Sikeston employees were honored recently by the City Council.

Code Enforcement Officer Collin Cecil recently received a plaque and cash award from Mayor Mike Marshall after being named Employee of the Second Quarter.

Cecil recently accepted the challenge of being the senior member of his department, serving as a mentor to junior members of the code office, according to Marshall, and is "a valuable member of the code enforcement team doing his part to make this community both safe and more attractive."

Also Marshall, presented Sikeston Department of Public Safety Officer Greg Foote with a plaque and cash award recognizing him as the Sikeston DPS Employee of the Second Quarter.

Marshall said Foote was instrumental in felon arrests for burglaries of the Cape Girardeau Medicap Pharmacy and Sikeston's Gas and Goodies due to his initiative and aggressive police work. Foote routinely uses good judgment and courtesy when dealing with the public and goes above and beyond the standard to assist citizens and his fellow officers, according to Marshall.
