BENTON -- Three Sikeston residents are in custody following a foot pursuit and the seizure of money and drugs in Sikeston Monday night.
Lloyd Gilmore, 25, Tambra Gilmore, 28 and Jerry Fletcher, 20, were arrested after deputies and Sikeston DPS officers arrived at a residence on Ruth Street to check for Fletcher who had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
When the officers arrived a scuffle began with Lloyd Gilmore who broke away and was arrested after a short foot pursuit. When deputies returned to the car Gilmore ran from, they found a large amount of cash and some controlled substances.
Searches following the arrests yielded scales, over 60 grams of what is believed to be marijuana and over three grams of what is believed to be cocaine.. Also seized was approximately $6,000 in cash.
Gilmore is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and resisting arrest. Bond is set at $150,000. Tambra Gilmore is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and her bond is $100,000. Jerry Fletcher is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine. His bond is set at $200,000.
"This is the second drug arrest this week," said Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter. "Another deputy responded to a careless driving complaint on the interstate Monday and wound up arresting an Illinois resident on several drug charges."
Walter said that Jerry B. Brown, 42, of Glen Carbon, Ill., is in the Scott County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown's bond is set at $40,000.
