SIKESTON - The Sikeston Bulldogs will play this Friday night at Chaffee, seeking a fifth victory. Beaten only by Perryville this season, the Bulldogs are expected to triumph.

MOREHOUSE - The bond issue for water and sewage treatment systems was passed by voters Tuesday. One proposal called for general obligation bonds; it passed 505-79. The other passed 503-66.


SIKESTON - College night will be held at the high school Nov. 16. Junior and senior students and their parents will meet with representatives of 29 colleges and business schools. The program will be divided into four sessions to enable students to attend a session of several schools represented.

SIKESTON - Tuesday's general election brings a bond issue proposal to the residents of Sikeston and a proposal for establishment of North and South Scott County Ambulance Districts. There are no county office races to be decided, as only Democratic candidates are to be voted on.


JACKSON - Nineteen seconds were left in the game. Sikeston, trailing by two points, was inches away from the goal line- and from its first victory since Sept. 12. Sikeston lost to Jackson 14-12.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Highway Patrol Satellite Station is not closing down - it is simply rerouting the communication department to Poplar Bluff Troop E Headquarters. Effective Monday, the Radio Communications at Troop E Satellite will cease operations. The change comes due to improved communications equipment at Troop E Headquarters.


SIKESTON - A check for $5,300 was present to Monsignor William Stanton at a '50s Rock and Roll dance held Oct. 12 at the St. Frances Xavier Parish Center. The money will be used for replacement of the St. Francis Catholic School roof and repairs to the roof of the parish.
