Your view: What about here?

Wednesday, December 6, 2006

Mr. Hodges, our newest representative-elect for the 161st District, had an article in the Standard today that has caused me some concern. He was so excited about the bio-diesel plant that is being built at Dexter. He was elated at the monetary benefits that it will bring to this area of the state.

I am excited about this also, but the thing that bothers me is this - a bio-

diesel plant is being constructed at Lilbourn, Mo., and will be on line no later than April 1, 2007.

Great River Processing Plant is approximately 20 miles from East Prairie, his hometown. A lot of his neighbors are shareholders in this plant. A lot of hours and hard work have gone into making this a success. Evidently Mr. Hodges was unaware of this, even though he has one of 4-x-8 campaign signs on the edge of the property where the plant is being built.

If he is this uninformed about the area where he lives, and hopes to represent, I can imagine how well informed he will be in Jefferson City. I can't wait for the tremendous amount of knowledge that we in the 161st District can expect from our new representative during his tenure.
