Born Sept. 28, 1926, at Lowndes, Mo., son of the late Oades William and Wilma Howell Adams, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II, and was a truck driver with East Texas Motor Freight.
Survivors include: one son, Jerry L. Adams of Gulf Breeze; two daughters, Carol E. LaMee of Columbus, Ga. and Kimberly A. King of Cartersville, Ga.; one brother, Marvin Adams of Dexter, Mo.; two sisters, Welta Young Cross of Bernie and Martha Hampton of Minooka, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
