PORTAGEVILLE - Edward L. Blowers, 82, died Dec. 5, 2006, at the Portageville Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 12, 1923, in Missouri, to the late Dewey and Grace Brown Blowers, he was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Portageville.

He was married to Georgia Ingle who preceded him in death on July 9, 1999.

Survivors include: one son, James Blowers of Lexington, Tenn.; two daughters, Carolyn Ellis and Mary Sue Huck of Portageville; one brother, Jay Blowers of the state of Michigan; one sister, Mildred Berry of Poplar Bluff; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is at 6 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Eugene Poole will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
