DEXTER -- Mildred Taylor, 89, died Feb. 6, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Born April 30, 1917, in Dudley, daughter of the late Edwin and Lilly Tite Wooley, she was a member of First General Baptist Church in Dexter and a former cook with the Dexter Public School System for 20 years.
On Dec. 24, 1935, in Dexter, she married Luther Gilford Taylor, who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1992.
Two brothers, Robert Moore and Floyd Moore, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Darrell Taylor of St. Peters, Carroll Taylor of Las Vegas and Paul Taylor of St. Louis; one daughter, Patricia Stafford of Greenville, S.C.; one brother, Edwin Wooley of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Aline York and Ruby Dowdy of Dexter, Adele Eagle of Little Rock, Ark., and Ruth Young of Flint, Mich.; and 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and five great-great-
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.
