SIKESTON - Dr. Leo H. Schnurbusch, formerly of Sikeston, has located at Marshall for the purpose of starting his practice, chiropractic surgery.
SIKESTON - Most residents will have two days to ponder their New Year's resolutions before returning to work Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday. City, state, as well as retail stores and shops in the Sikeston area will close and observe the holiday. No mail deliveries will be made.

SIKESTON - Area law enforcement officials will be on the alert tonight as residents celebrate the arrival of 1987. A spokesman with the highway patrol advises all drivers to stay off the roads unless you have to and if you do, drive defensively. Sikeston Department of Public Safety Capt. Joe Sebourn also advises drivers to be alert as the DPS will have extra patrolmen on duty.

SIKESTON - Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Armour are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. Armour and the former Mary Lou Weeks were married Dec. 31, 1946 in Sikeston, at the home of the Rev. E.D. Owens, then pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sikeston.
