SpeakOut 2/19

Here is what I have been predicting for about a month now. First that McCain would win the Republican nomination and that the Democratic nomination would be close and depend on the others dropping out and who they supported. If Clinton wins the nomination, then McCain will win the office. If Obama wins the nomination, he will win the office. I am a Republican, but I think I would give my vote to Obama. He has a lot of character and would make a good president.

Now that they have started the court cases on the dog fighting, I think the judge should give the guilty ones the full sentence. I think they should give them the full fine. People who enjoy watching dogs tear off their ears and take chunks out of their throats or chew off their legs are mentally ill. This is cruel and inhuman and only a sick person could enjoy it.

When that guy called in to SpeakOut and said he was tired of these women having babies and him supporting them with his taxes, was he a back-then generation or is he one that's now, in this time of generation. Was he brought up on welfare back then, the reason he's griping now.

I'm calling about the headlines on the Thursday, Feb. 7 paper. People over 20 on Medcaid no longer have dental coverage. Oh my God! I am 45 years old. I have been married to the same man for 26 years. He has worked for a very nice company here in Sikeston for 24 of those years. We have never had dental coverage. We have very good insurance, but no dental coverage. I have put two girls in two different sets of braces and guess what? The government didn't help me do it. These people need to get off their butts, get a job and pay for their own dental. I'll pay for mine, they'll pay for theirs and we'll all have pretty teeth.

Let's not forget our service force still out here fighting this war. Please say a prayer for them and their families - that they can come home and enjoy their lives again. John McCain said the war can go on for 10 years or more. We need a president that will bring our people home.

I think all of you people who voted for McCain have got to be ignorant. He said he would keep the troops in Iraq for 100 years if that's what it takes. Of course, he ain't gonna last that long. I have boys that are almost of age for service, and I don't want them to go to war. Their lives are ruined. When they go over there they are never the same. They are shot at, they're scared every day. McCain is too old to be president. He's almost ready for a wheelchair. He can't hardly walk. He needs to go over there a year and see how he likes it. Let them shoot at him. He doesn't care for the people, he's all for himself. Obama is all mouth. He won't do half of what he says he will do. He wants in office so bad, he'll promise anything. I sure wish John Edwards would have stayed in the race. He is really the only one that made any sense. We didn't have anybody to choose from. No wonder many people didn't vote. I, for one, would like to see a good person get in there to run our country. The ones running are not worth voting for.
