Kelly runners qualify for state cross country meet

JEFFERSON BARRACKS -- The Kelly cross country team had two runners qualify for the state meet as sophomore Tara Johnson placed 13th with a time of 23:10 and freshman Cody Kern placed 13th with a time of 18:43 in the Class 2, District 1 meet at Jefferson Barracks Park near St. Louis on Saturday.

Kelly placed sixth as a team in the meet.

Others that competed were: Omar Campos (38th, 21:02), Mike Warren (43rd, 21:18), Brett Harper (44th, 21:26), Josh Rogers (49th, 22:05) and Sam Nelson (51st, 22:13).
