PUXICO -- Mary Lou Parsley, 77, died Nov. 4, 2006, at her home.
Born Jan. 3, 1929, in Asherville, daughter of the late Robert and Ruby Buchanan Vanscyoc, she had lived most of her life in the Puxico area where she was a 51-year member of the Duck Creek Baptist Church.
On Jan. 8, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married Donald Parsley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Pam Parsley and Edward and Peggy Parsley of Puxico and William and Becky Parsley of Dudley; two daughters and one son-in-law, Diane and Richard Hawthorne of Puxico and Margie Franklin of St. Clair; four sisters, Emma June Shy of the state of Texas, Saundra Ann Clark and Chuckie Edwards of Asherville and Bobbie Kennedy of Wappapello; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Duck Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Ralph Mayes of Poplar Bluff will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery.
