SIKESTON -- Mildred L. Brock, 85, formerly of Anniston, died at 5:15 a.m., Nov. 4, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 4, 1921, in Parma, daughter of the late John A. and Lula Frick Knupp, she lived most of her life in Anniston where she was employed for 35 years as a bookkeeper for the Anniston Gin Company until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleston. In 1990, she moved to Sikeston where she attended Murray Lane Baptist Church.
She was also preceded her in death by four brothers, Paul Knupp, Ira Knupp, Johnnie Knupp and Sammie Knupp; and one sister, Blanche Biby.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and Paul Balf of Chesapeake, Va., and Becky and Wayne Hahn of Sikeston; one sister, Irene Hanor of rural Charleston; three grandsons, Michael Balf of Chesapeake and Derek Hahn and Alexander Hahn of Sikeston; and one great-grandson, Nathan Balf.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
