SIKESTON -- Ruby Evelyn McCoy, 82, died at 12:41 p.m. April 7, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Oct. 18, 1924, in Crowder, daughter of the late James William and Martha Lee Hodges Burns, she was a housewife and a member of Tanner Street Church of God where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
On Dec. 5, 1953, in Crowder, she married Victor Dale "Vic" McCoy who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Sharon Duncan of Sikeston and Edward and Dorene McCoy of Cape Coral, Fla.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy and Jim Peery of North Kansas City, Carol Lee Isnor of Morehouse and Ruth Ellen Zercher of Cape Coral; one sister, Ruth Webb Phillips of Sikeston; and 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Carl Addison, pastor, and the Rev. Larry Smith, associate pastor, of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Peery, Ron Cullins, Larry Farrenburg, Ken Duncan, Scott Graham and Darel Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenneth Bailey, Jim Brase and John Cohen.
