BENTON, Ky. -- John S. Hayward, 83, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 4:45 p.m. April 7, 2007, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Son of the late James Sterlin and Rosa Lee Stovall Hayward, he was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.
His wife, Georgia Kelton Hayward, survives of the home in Benton.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Betty Ferrell of Aurora, Colo., Barbara Hodges of Grand Rivers and Bertha Muenks of Tell City, Ind.; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackson Hayward; and two sisters, Mary LaVada Haynes and Maybell Kramer.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home in Benton, where services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Revs. Dale Holman and Jeremy Short will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Fooks Cemetery.
