Born Dec. 11, 1932, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of T.A. and Virgie DeShazier Worley, she was a member of Bement Baptist Church. She had worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block, been a teacher's aide at the Sikeston Head Start Center and had worked for 7-Eleven Convenience Stores before retiring.
On Sept. 17, 1949, in Charleston, she married Gene A. Dorris who preceded her in death April 17, 1978.
One son, Danny Gene Dorris; one grandson, Dellon Eugene Martin Nanney; and two sisters, Pearl Fowler and Grace DeShazier, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike Dorris of Sikeston and Richard Lovann of Owensboro, Ky.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Marilyn and Wayne Huffstutler, Debbie and Rick Aters and Sherrie Nanney of Sikeston and Kimberly and Russell Keener of Whitsett, N.C.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ted and Mary Worley of Sikeston, Delmar and Francis Marie Worley of Hayes, Va., and Brown Worley of Dexter; two sisters and brothers-in-
law, Ann and Lowell Webb of Sikeston and Betty and Bobby Underwood of Dexter; and 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Revs. Randy Thomas and Jack Owens will officiate.
Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
Pallbearers will be: Matthew Dorris, Michael Meeks, Marshall Meeks, Richie Dorris, Eric Sisk and Michael Dorris.
