Bill Johnson

SIKESTON - William D. "Bill" Johnson, 62, died at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 26, 2007, at his home.

Born May 20, 1944, in Poplar Bluff, son of Sol and Dorothy Johnson, of Washington, Mo., he moved to Sikeston in 1983 to be the agent/terminal manager for Churchill Truck Lines. In 1995, he opened the Sears Dealer Store in Sikeston, which he owned and operated until 1998 when he returned to the trucking business. He was a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church and the Sikeston Elks.

He was united in marriage to Vivian Ronsick who survives of the home.

They have three children who survive: Pam Smith and husband, Chris of Dallas; Angie Hudson of Springfield and Matt Johnson of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Jesse Hudson, Jenna Hudson and Julie Hudson, all of Springfield and Brett Johnson of Sikeston; one stepgranddaughter, Heather Self of Arcadia. He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Ralph Brinker of Washington and Annette and Jim Ruether of Union; his mother-in-law, Frances Ronsick of Washington; and his brother-in-law, John Ronsick and his wife, Mary Kaye, of Ballwin.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Joan Ronsick; and father-in-

law, Merril Ronsick.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Goodwin, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery in Washington.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerry Pullen, Glenn Pinkerton, Guy Turnbo, Mike Riley, Greg Riley and Harold Brewer.
